About Higher Information Group
Higher Information Group started as a company focused on managing information throughout the document life cycle. Our company, Harrisburg Copiers was founded in 1969 as a traditional business equipment company: we have evolved our business model, practices and expertise over time. In 2001, the company was purchased by John G. Frisch, the current Owner and President of Higher Information Group.
Currently Higher Information Group consists of senior and mid level management personnel, administrative personnel, graphic designers, interactive programmers, sales consultants, service technicians and delivery personnel. Higher Information Group performs back ground checks and maintains a bond covering all employees. All of our service employees carry name badges, drive Higher Information Group branded company cars and are equipped with tools necessary to perform their job roles. We are HIPAA vendor certified and will agree to sign non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements with clients as needed.
As with any company, we researched markets and formulated new services in effort to provide our existing clients with services that help businesses manage information, maintain compliance and develop processes that increase efficiency throughout the organization. We are a growing company even in a down economy.
Along with our Business Equipment Services, Higher Information Group also provides the following services; Information Technology Services, Hosting Solutions, Document and Data Management Services, Document Storage, Document Shredding and Corporate Printing.
Business Equipment line consists of Toshiba Multi-Functional Printers, Muratec Multi-Functional Printers, Oce Wide Format Printers, Managed Print Services, Francotyp – Postalia mailing equipment and Secap mailing/folding and inserting machines. Our Business Equipment division offers our clients a myriad of options to increase production, create document efficiencies and assist with the creation of information. Our well-trained and experienced consultants help clients choose the perfect equipment of use in any industry.
IT Services Division handles a variety of IT challenges on a daily basis. As an Authorized Dell Partner and a Microsoft Action Support Provider, our technicians have the resources available to them to solve any IT problem. Our Information Technology Team has a plethora of experience focused on integration of local and remote resources, spanning servers across multiple WAN environments and configuring various networks and security protocols, not to mention typical day to day help desk support.
Hosting Solutions Division focuses on providing remote server management in our data center to businesses throughout Central Pennsylvania. In our Tier 3 Rated Data Center, we provide clients with information technology solution including Microsoft Exchange Management, Windows File Server Management, Hosted Document Management Systems, Windows Small Business Server Systems, key application integration, remote policy enforcement and Point to Point VPN strategies to create wide area networked business solutions.
Data and Document Management Division focuses on helping clients manage paper and workflow processes in a digital world. Backed by our IT Staff, this division incorporates Business Equipment, IT Services, Hosted Solutions and Document Storage division. These divisions work together to produce record retention policies, information technology retention programs, back up strategies, collocation solution, workflow solutions and digital document management workflows and practices.
Document Storage Division provides clients with a secure and cost-effective method for storing and retrieving physical paper documents. Our Document Storage Consultants will assist you with organizing your document repository, develop methods of retrieval based on your workflows and assist your with creating an online index system for your paper records which you can access from anywhere in the world.
Secure Shredding Services re-assures that your company stays compliant with current government regulations, keeps vital information away from prying eyes and maintains your confidential information. Our Shredding Consultants can develop a document destruction plan which incorporates our record retention policy and provides you with a document of destruction upon pick up of completion of services. Our mobile shredding truck can shred at your location or we can pick up at your business and shred your documents at our secure facility.
Corporate Printing facility produces documents that businesses use on a daily basis. By focusing on digital printing workflows we offer clients the ability to print on demand. Our clients can utilize our corporate print procurement website and typically save 10-20% on their traditional printing costs. The corporate print procurement site houses all of your documents and lets you choose what files you would like to have printed on demand. Our facility has experience in performing large scanning projects, CD and DVD duplication services and large format printing. For projects that require traditional printing techniques, we have formed relationships with several printers throughout the area and can manage your print projects for you.
